'Marry Me' Is A Real Life 'What-If' For Thomas Rhett

Thomas Rhett's 10th number one single, 'Marry Me', is actually a scenario in which Rhett reflects back on what his life may have been like if he never told his wife Lauren how he actually felt about her. Thomas and Lauren were actually different serious relationships, and it was Lauren's dad who encouraged him to tell her how he felt, and the rest is history.

Thomas says, "You have these moments when you can either go left or go right. And if you go left you never know what would have been in that right direction. This song was written out of a space if I had never told Lauren how I felt about her, then more than likely I would have been invited to that wedding of her marrying somebody else."

We're glad it all turned out how it did!
