Announced a few short days ago, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo has been nominated for USA Today's 'Best Zoo' award! Along with the Denver Zoo, CMZ stands amongst the 20 nominees for the award this year. Travel experts have visited over 200 zoos and narrowed down the list recently, to also include Disney's Animal Kingdom. CMZ made this for a few reasons (one obviously being its amazing) and also because their vast amount of animals and also a fact that I learned: they have the largest giraffe herd in the world! And come on, if you don't feed a giraffe when you visit CMZ, did you really even go?
