Your Local Weekend Event Calendar

The first day of fall is officially this Sunday, so of course we need to let all the fall activities commence! Here is my weekly round up of events and activities going on in Southern Colorado Springs:

- Pueblo Chile Festival (going on all weekend, featuring chile eating competitions, chile cooking, and local entertainment. Tickets start at $5 for adults, and free for kids under 12.)

- Taste of Old Colorado City (going on Sunday 9/23, it is a festival of food, drinks, music, art, and entertainment. Tickets range from $10-$50 depending on if you want VIP or just sample.)

- Jake Owen Concert (Being held at the Security Service field at 6p on 9/21, and Y96.9 will have a section set up.)

- Nelly Concert (Also being held at Security Service field on 9/22 at 7p, and 96.1 The Beat will be there.)

- Kick Off to Fall Family Festival (hay rides, pumpkin picking, a catered lunch, and plenty of photo ops. It is being held at the Long Neck Pumpkin Farm, must have tickets prior to event.)

- Aspens on the Avenue (stroll through the streets of Old Colorado City on Saturday to see featured artists interpretation of the beauty of the fall leaves changing. Live demonstrations and art fair will be held from 10a-4p.)

- iHeartRadio Music Festival (in case you don't want to go out this weekend, the iHeartRadio Music Festival will be premiering tonight at 4p and tomorrow at 8p on the CW!)

- Fall Leaves Changing Drive (as a bonus, via pikes-peak.com, here is a list of all the scenic routes to drive and see all the leaves begin to change and put you in the fall spirit!)

Happy Fall Everyone!
