Demi is alert and responsive and is with family according to her rep.
TMZ reports that Demi Lovato refused to tell paramedics what drug caused her to overdose. A source reportedly is also refusing to reveal what drug Demi overdosed on at her Hollywood Hills home where she was found unconscious.
Medics had to bring Demi back to consciousness with Narcan. Narcan is an emergency treatment for narcotic overdoses.
Since no drugs were found at Demi’s home law enforcement can’t say if Demi was in possession of any illegal substance therefore there will not be a criminal investigation.
People Magazine reports police found evidence at Demi’s home related to illegal drugs that is not typically associated with heroin.
Demi was out Monday night celebrating a friend’s birthday and posted pictures on her private Instagram looking happy.
Demi has battled addiction for years and last March Demi said she was celebrating six years of sobriety. Just a few weeks ago Demi released a song, “Sober” where she sang about relapsing.
We are wishing Demi the best, she is has been open with her struggles which can’t be easy. This goes to prove that addiction is a disease that can affect anyone no matter how much money or fame they have. Addiction does not discriminate.
