Thanks to 9 News for this story! Juliana Laitos admits that she had too many margaritas at a live auction Friday night benefiting an elementary school. Before she knew it Juliana was in a bidding war over a football signed by the 2017 Broncos. The opening bid was $100 and Juliana ended up paying $675.
Juliana rememebers thinking “oh, no. My husband is going to kill me”
Juliana tried to sell the footballl on the NextDoor app but didn’t get any offers.
“Seeing as how I don't even have kids attending said elementary school, or in general, and no one in my household is a football aficionado, an autographed football makes about as much sense as a giant squid playing the piano."
Juliana is open to donating the football to another school auction.
