Just minutes before Zayn Malik was supposed to take the stage at the O2 City Hall in Newcastle, England on December 3rd, the singer ended up canceling the show at the last minute. Now, he is speaking out on why he pulled the plug on the show.
Taking to his Instagram stories, Zayn explained that he was having vocal issues and was holding on until the last possible moment, hoping that his condition would improve. He shared, "I'm so sorry to do this but my voice just isn't there at all tonight and without it, there's no show. I'm truly sorry to tel you down, especially at short notice...I held onto hope until the very last moment. I'm hopeful with some rest tonight I'll be back on stage tomorrow. My deepest apologies Newcastle. Love you all xx."
Zayn's next show is in Manchester, England at the O2 Apollo on December 4th. He is currently on his first solo tour, in support of his most recent album, Room under the Stairs. The tour kicked off in the Us back in October, and made stops across the country including San Francisco, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Washington, DC and New York, before he headed over to England.
