Big Time Rush To Be Honored With National Holiday, Announce New Album

In the wise words of Big Time Rush, "It's the only life ya got, so ya gotta live it big time!" The beloved boy band, consisting of members Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow, Logan Henderson, and Carlos PenaVega are definitely living it big time as it was announced they will be honored with their own national Big Time Rush Day.

On Friday, March 31st, it was announced that April 4th will officially be proclaimed as Big Time Rush Day in honor of the band by Emily Larson, the Mayor of Duluth, MN, which is the hometown of all four band members in their hit Nickelodeon show Big Time Rush. In addition to the official proclamation from the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center on April 4th, there will also be a ceremonial street re-named for the day.

The band took to Instagram to share their excitement about the honor. "This is a day for all Rushers Worldwide To celebrate together. We will be celebrating our love with you all on this day," the wrote in the video's caption. They also encouraged fans to, "share together all day long, with the hashtag #BTRDAY."

The celebrations continued as the band also announced today that they will be releasing their highly-anticipated new album on June 9th. It will serve as Big Time Rush's first new studio album in ten years. The new album will come out just in time for their upcoming Can't Get Enough Tour with special guests MAX and Jax. The tour will kick off in Fort Worth, Texas at Dickies Arena on June 22nd and conclude on August 12th in Las Vegas.
