I've never been able to keep my New Year's resolutions, but a couple of years ago I decided that I wanted to start reading more, so I made a resolution to read a book a month. Not only did I keep it, I exceeded my goal! So now I do it every year. For me, it was just a matter of setting aside time every day to read, even if it's just a few pages. I stopped scrolling through social media before bed and started reading instead. Once I really committed to it, it wasn't too tough to get through a new book each month. I went from reading maybe one or two books a year to reading 15, which might not seem like much to an avid reader, but it's a big step for me!
