Mobile vaccination van to be at Acacia Park Friday, May 7 from 5 – 9 p.m.
El Paso County, Colo. – Individuals who haven’t yet received their COVID-19 vaccination can get it conveniently and without an appointment at the mobile vaccination van at Acacia Park today from 5 – 9 p.m. Walk-ups are welcome. The van was scheduled in partnership by the Downtown Partnership and El Paso County Public Health to coincide with the popular First Friday Downtown event.
The monthly event attracts hundreds of people to downtown Colorado Springs each month, visiting several galleries and venues featuring art, music and performance. Not only is it a popular activity but it’s a great opportunity to make vaccines available to a diverse group of people, in a central location, with the convenience of a walk-up, no appointment needed, easy access mobile clinic.
“We want our community to be protected and get vaccinated, and we want to make it as easy as possible to do so. With the mobile vaccination vans, we are reducing barriers and meeting people where they are, in communities where they live, work and play,” said Susan Wheelan, director of El Paso County Public Health. “We are grateful for the continued collaboration with the Downtown Partnership to pair community events and vaccinations to better serve our residents.”
For added convenience, pre-registration is available here.
