Budweiser Won't Be Airing a Super Bowl Commercial This Year

For those of us who only watch the Super Bowl for the commercials, one brand will be greatly missed this year: Budweiser. From the Budweiser Frogs to the Clydesdales to that one commercial where the guy leaves his dog at home while he's at a party and the dog waits and waits for him to come back but he never does and so you think he died in a drunk driving accident but then he walks in the door the next morning and tells his dog he was too drunk to drive home so he stayed at his friend's house (you know the one I'm talking about). Yeah. Budweiser makes some good commercials. But this year, they won't be airing one during the 'Big Game'. Instead they'll be using the money to help raise awareness of the COVID vaccine. A bit vague, but their hearts are in the right place. (And also it's good publicity). That being said, Anheuser-Busch still purchased 4-minutes of airtime for their other brands including Bud Light, Michelob Ultra and Michelob's new seltzer.

Anyway, here's the commercial about how they won't be airing a commercial this year:
