Disneyland Set To Open Marvel-Themed Land: All The Exciting Details

Big changes are coming to Disneyland in Anaheim, California. Following the success of their newest park expansion, Star Wars: Galaxy's edge, the House of Mouse has their sights set on bringing Marvel characters and rides into the mix.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Disney's California Adventure Park is currently developing a Marvel-themed land set to open at a currently unknown time in the next few years. The new "land" will be located where A Bug's Land used to be. A Bug's Land was inspired by the 1998 Pixar film A Bug's Life. A temporary wall with the words "Stark Industries" has been put up around the area.

Few details are known about the new area, however, the city of Anaheim has reportedly approved permits for various projects, including a character meet-and-greet area, a retail outlet, and a microbrewery.

This won't be the first step Disney has made to include Marvel-inspired attractions in their California resort. The classic Tower of Terror ride was recently transformed into Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: Breakout. Another Guardians of the Galaxy-themed ride is set to open in Florida's Disney World, as well.

More details are expected to be announced a this year’s D23 convention, set to take place Aug. 23-25 in Anaheim. Are you excited for the Marvel-themed land?
