Kesha Sings Of A Revolution On New Anthem 'Here Comes The Change'

Kesha's new song is a vivacious anthem for equality.

On Wednesday (September 19), the pop singer-songwriter released the lyric video for her latest single "Here Comes the Change," a cry for reform and revolution for those from all walks of life. The track was written and performed for Ruth Bader Ginsburg's upcoming film, On the Basis of Sex

"Is it a crazy thought?/ That if I had a child/ I hope they live to see the day/ That everyone's equal, she chants of a new future.

The movie, which stars Armie Hammer (Call Me by Your Name) and Felicity Jones (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), follows a young Ginsburg as she and her husband join forces to overthrow a century of sex discrimination with a groundbreaking case before the Supreme Court.

Additionally, the "Hymn" musician pairs with the non-profit organization HeadCount to inspire her followers to vote in the visual. These sentiments were also reflected in an essay Kesha penned for Refinery 29 upon the song's premiere.

"If you believe in these things like I do, then I hope you will register to vote and make your voice heard this November," she wrote. "When people in positions of power attack the progress we have made toward full equality it's our duty to go out to the voting booth and show them that is unacceptable."

On the Basis of Sex opens in theaters on December 25.
