I don't know about you, but I honestly had no doubts in my mind that A Star is Born was going to be a hit from the very moment it was announced. While the announcement happened well over two years ago, we are officially about a month until it hits theaters, and the premiere was just this past Sunday.
For those do not know the basic plot, Lady Gaga plays a young struggling artist named Ally, who was very close to giving up on her dreams. Suddenly Bradley Cooper, whose character goes by Jackson, discovers young Ally and convinces her of her talent.
Anyway, the film (also directed by Bradley Cooper) has come back from reviews with flying colors so far. According to speculation, the film is described to have a "Chicago-esque" vibe to it, as well as being a hit of a film in general. Gaga's acting abilities were very well received to critics as well as Cooper's ability to act and direct. While the Oscars are quite far off, and anything can certainly happen, A Star is Born is looking like its going to shine bright.
