The Broadmoor has proposed a new plan to Manitou Springs officials regarding the future of the Cog Railway. According to KRDO, they want to re-open the railway by May of 2020 to coincide with the opening of the Pikes Peak Summit House. The cost to fix or rebuild the railway could approach $100 MILLION, but the Broadmoor says they would cover most of the cost. Manitou Springs Mayor Ken Jaray likes the idea. If they approve the plan, the city will get a say in the new design for the Train Depot and help with traffic reduction on Ruxton Ave. LEARN MORE HERE.
