Christina Aguilera Reveals Which 'Stripped' Track Was About An Ex-Gay Lover

Christina Aguilera just lifted the lid on her 2002 Stripped cut, "Infatuation," when she appeared on the first Untucked aftershow as part of the Season 10 premiere of RuPaul's Drag Race on Thursday (March 22).

During the aftershow, the first judge of the season sat down with the queens and shared a secret about the cut, which hears her sing about a forbidden romance with a Latin lover. Back in 2002, Aguilera revealed that the song was inspired by Jorge Santos, her backup dancer who she dated for two years and, it turns out, he was actually gay. "It was heartbreaking because I found out he played for your team, not mine," Aguilera told the queens backstage of the show. When contestant Vanessa Vanjie Mateo laughingly mentioned that he might just be watching the show right now, the pop star had a short but sweet response. "I hope so, girl," she replied.

Elsewhere in the appearance, Aguilera spoke about the inspiration behind her mega-smash, "Fighter." "Girl you read him for the back row. When you said, 'You tried to take a joy ride and came down in flames,' I said, 'Oooh.' She read him," another contestant Monique Heart told the pop star.

"Of course it was! He deserved it," Christina responded. "We all have come from some journey. I'm sure we’ve all had a painful place and a struggle or something and I think that's really relevant. And that's a part of my music and a part of where I came from."
